  • Arrive in Cairo, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your historic hotel. It is ideally situated near the last remaining Ancient Wonder of the World — the Great Pyramid of Giza.

For 500 years beginning in the 16th century BC, tombs were built along this valley for pharaohs and nobles, including that of “the boy king,” Tutankhamun. Enter the tomb of Tutankhamun — found in 1922 by British archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter — to discover the secrets of this storied chamber. Next, descend into the beautifully decorated tomb of Seti I, the father of Ramses II, one of the best-preserved tombs in the valley. Continue to the Valley of the Queens, enjoying access to Queen Nefertari’s tomb, famous for the colorful artwork that adorns its walls.

We will explore the tombs of the Nobles, the ancient burial sites of high-ranking officials and nobles. The tour includes visits to the tombs of Ramose, Userhet, Khaemhat, and Menna, showcasing intricate wall paintings and hieroglyphics.
  • Afterward, we will visit the well-preserved Habu Temple complex, which includes the main temple, smaller shrines, and courtyards. The tour provides insight into the religious beliefs and practices of the ancient Egyptians, with highlights including the impressive statues of pharaohs and gods, hieroglyphic inscriptions, and intricate carvings.

  • Then we move to visit Howard Carter's house. The house was built in the early 20th century and served as the residence of the famous British archaeologist Howard Carter during his excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb. By noon, our tour will be finished, then we will head back to our cruise boat for lunch and enjoy the sailing on the Nile.

  • Today, view the Temple of Horus, the falcon-headed god of the sky. Built in 230 BC by Ptolemy III, this amazingly well-preserved and colorful structure reveals what temple worship in ancient Egypt was like.
  • Later this afternoon, enjoy a refreshing Scenic Sundowner as you cruise to Kom Ombo.
  • Disembark at Kom Ombo (hill of gold) to visit the Greco-Roman temple dedicated to Haroeris (the sun god) and Sobek (the crocodile god), whom some ancient Egyptians considered the creator of the world. View the mummified remains of several crocodiles that once basked along the ancient Nile shore, just as their descendants do today.

  • Today, after breakfast, we will visit Philae temple, an impressive temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. We see the temple's well-preserved ruins, including the main sanctuary and several smaller chapels. The highlight is the beautifully carved reliefs depicting scenes from ancient Egyptian mythology.
  • Back to our Nile cruise boat for lunch and relaxing.
  • In the afternoon, it is time to take the felucca ride, which is an amazing experience. As you sail along the Nile River, you can take in the stunning views of the desert landscape and the surrounding islands. The gentle breeze, warm sun, and calm waters make for a relaxing and peaceful journey. Various birds and wildlife along the way. It's a great way to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty of Egypt.

  • Today, bid farewell to our luxury Nile cruise boat. Disembarking to drive to Abu Simbel and discover the commanding twin temples of Ramses II and his wife, Queen Nefertari. The former’s façade is dominated by four 70-foot-tall statues of the pharaoh. Perhaps even more impressive, this entire site was disassembled and moved to this location to save it from the floodwaters caused by the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
  • Return to Aswan and check in at the legendary old Cataract Hotel, a grand, historic hotel. It was built in 1899 and has since hosted many famous guests, including Winston Churchill, Agatha Christie, and Princess Diana. The hotel features elegant colonial-style architecture, opulent interiors, and top-notch amenities such as a swimming pool, spa, and multiple dining options. Enjoy stunning views of the Nile River and the surrounding desert landscape from their rooms or the hotel's terrace.
