Cairo, Cairo, Egypt (Cairo International Airport, 07:00 – 22:00)
Following breakfast at your hotel, you’ll head out to see Cairo’s most iconic landmarks. The morning takes you to Giza Plateau where you’ll walk around the Great Pyramids and see the Sphinx up close. From there, you’ll go to the Egyptian Museum to see ancient artifacts and treasures. Later in the afternoon, you’re driven to Cairo railway station where you’ll board an overnight sleeping train heading south to Aswan, so you can rest while traveling.

After breakfast on the train, you’ll arrive in Aswan and head to Philae Temple, the beautiful complex dedicated to the goddess Isis. Once you check into your Nubian house, you have time to explore the local Nubian village if you’d like, see how people live there, and wander through the Nubian Souk where local artisans sell handmade crafts and goods. You’ll spend the night in Aswan.

After breakfast, check out of your Nubian house. If you’re interested, there’s an option to visit Abu Simbel before heading to the dock for a private felucca sailing trip. You’ll have lunch on the boat while sailing, and during the journey you’ll stop at Kom Ombo temple. Later you’ll transfer to Luxor and check in for the night.

If you wake early and want to, there’s a sunrise hot air balloon ride available. After breakfast, you’ll tour Karnak and Luxor temples, seeing massive columns and ancient carvings. In the evening, there’s an optional sound and light show at Karnak if you’re interested. You’ll spend another night in Luxor.

Once breakfast is done, you’ll cross to the West Bank to see the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Lunch happens at a local restaurant in the area. If you want more, the Luxor Museum and Mummification Museum are optional visits. In the afternoon, you’re driven to the railway station to board another overnight train back to Cairo.

Sleeper Train (Overnight sleeping train )
You’ll arrive at Cairo railway station and have breakfast before heading west toward Bahariya Oasis in the Western Desert. Lunch is in Bawaiti city where you can cool off with a swim in a natural spring. The afternoon takes you into the White Desert, a surreal landscape of chalk-white rock formations. You’ll camp in the desert and have dinner prepared Bedouin style under the stars.

After breakfast at the camp, you’ll explore the Black Desert and then visit Crystal Mountain before heading back to Cairo. Once back in the city, you’ll check into your hotel and can spend the evening walking around Cairo’s markets and streets, checking out the local nightlife and shops.

Following breakfast and checking out, you have the option to explore Old Cairo with its historic mosques, churches, and bazaars if you have time. Later you’ll be driven to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight.
