The Great Sphinx comes next, then you’ll head to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Later in the afternoon you’ll fly to Luxor and check into your 5-star resort on the Nile’s banks.

An optional sunrise hot air balloon ride over the West Bank is available if you want it. You’ll board your luxury Dahabya Nile cruise boat for lunch, with an optional evening horse carriage tour of Luxor.

You’ll disembark from your cruise boat and drive to Abu Simbel to see the twin temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari with their four 70-foot-tall statues of the pharaoh. Your guide will explain how the entire site was disassembled and relocated to escape the Aswan High Dam floodwaters. Later you’ll fly back to Cairo and check into your hotel.
